Based in Brackenhurst, Alberton — paving and repairing driveways, pool surrounds, patios and pathways across Gauteng since the 1990s.
Who We Are
Aztec Paving is a professional paving contractor based at 166 Hennie Alberts Street, Brackenhurst, Alberton, Gauteng. We have been installing and repairing paving across Alberton, Germiston, Johannesburg South and the greater Gauteng area for well over 28 years.
The business is owner-managed by Richard Arthur, who is hands-on with every project. Richard is involved in the consultation, the measurement, the material selection and the quality control of each job. When you deal with Aztec Paving, you deal with an experienced paving professional — not a sales rep who passes your job to whoever is available.
Our installation team is led by Thando, who ensures every project meets the standards Richard's clients have come to expect.
Our Philosophy
Paving is not complicated when it is done correctly. The problem is that too many contractors take short cuts — skipping on base preparation, under-compacting, using poor-quality cement, or (worst of all) laying plastic under the paving to stop weeds. These short cuts look fine initially but cause the paving to fail within a few years.
At Aztec Paving, we believe that every installation we do is a potential referral. That is not marketing language — it is how we actually think about our work. Most of our new clients come from recommendations by previous clients, which means our reputation depends entirely on the quality of what we build.
We also believe in honest advice. If a repair will serve you better than a full replacement, we will tell you that — even when a full replacement would be more profitable for us. We offer free telephonic paving advice to anyone, anywhere, even if we are not doing your project.

Materials We Work With
We work with a wide range of paving bricks and materials, and will help you select the right product for your application and budget. We regularly install:
- Corobrick clay pavers — including Cederberg, Nutmeg, Namaqua and Ironstone ranges
- Bevel bond — standard cement pavers in grey, charcoal and other colours
- Flagstones — in multiple sizes and colours, including LaCotta 3-size cobble
- Colonial stone and Tuscan paving
- Broken brick cobble for a rustic look
We are one of the leading installers of Corobrick products in Gauteng, and we can show you examples of our Corobrick installations before you commit to a decision.
